Electric eel lights aquarium Christmas tree.
In a small aquarium in Hokkaido, an electric eel is tasked with lighting the Christmas tree. A small sensor placed inside his tank is activated when it detects the eel's bioelectric discharges. This in turn switches the tree's lights on.
Visitors can watch the eel snake around the tree it lit until Christmas.
