Ex-Buddhist priest steals temple artifacts.

A 61-year old ex-priest was arrested today for stealing statues of the Buddha from his temple and selling them to black market art dealers. Kensho Takeda is suspected of snatching a Dainichi Nyorai figure--a designated cultural artifact!!--and a pair of Karasu Tengu figures from a temple in Toyama Prefecture and selling them for a whopping 2.6 million yen. What the...?? That is just so un-holy of him! If this dude did what everyone thinks he did, he has a lot of karmic debt to pay off.
