It was the first day at work today for this blue-and-white robot. After being programmed to understand the spoken Aizu dialect and to generate maps to every ward and consultation center in the institution, the robot was dispatched to Aizu Central Hospital and instructed to stand at the entrance to greet visitors.
Mainichi Daily News
reports:
When the robot is asked to pinpoint a location, it projects a three-dimensional image showing the route to the destination through a projector on its head, and prints out a map from a built-in printer, which it hands to the visitor.
The cute little boy in the picture is asking blue-and-white robot how to get to Pokemon World. There's no word yet as to what the robot's response was.
